Cotoneaster

It was drizzling when I went down to the village this morning but as usual there were lots of cheery greetings. Nobody complained about the rain and I think people still have a good feeling after the brilliant summer so a drop of rain isn't a problem.
I cut through the churchyard to look for a blip and was drawn to this cotoneaster in front of the 17th century cottage which is close up to the churchyard fence. In common with so many plants this autumn it is very generous with its berries.
