Bucolic

Actually it wasn't merely the bucolic tranquillity of this scene that delighted me this afternoon. It was the wonderful light brought about by our being in the only patch of sun for miles around. Behind us, Cumbrae and Arran had disappeared into rain; Ayrshire was nowhere to be seen; Bute was menaced by a band of rain advancing on Rothesay. We managed a whole walk with hardly any rain falling on us, and were rewarded at the end by this sunny spell just for Toward.

And I didn't fall over my feet once.
