Cruising the lake

These are my three beautiful children. All together. Happy even! They had the best day. Innertubing off the back of Uncle Matt's boat, floating around in their raft, soaking up the sun. THIS is summer in it's finest.

We camped at Lake Piru this weekend. Had to put the boat back in the lake after taking it out in the ocean the week before. Camping with an RV sure is much easier.

We found a strip of land to anchor on and unloaded allll the chairs and stuff. Noticed that there were a few spiders crawling around on the shale shore....but not so many on the left. Then Connie & I saw one as big as our thumb. Okay, guys, we are not staying here!! Plan B! Packed up all the chairs and stuff.....sailed around to the next patch of shore. We found a superb sandy beach! No creapy crawlies.

I didn't take my camera on this particular excursion of the day. I watched the buzzards (vultures?) circle around looking for food. There were about 8 at one time! We stayed until almost sundown. The kids sure slept good that night!
