Trilled To See Ya!

This Little Sweetie has been hanging out in some Red Canna leaves during the still rather warm days, high 80's. She or He is either a Cope's Gray Treefrog or a Common Gray Treefrog. Their ranges overlap 'extensively' and the only way to tell them apart is is that the Cope's Gray Treefrog has a Faster Trill and only Half the chromosomes as the Common Gray Treefrog.

Both varieties are Nocturnal, live high in trees and descend only at night, usually just to chorus and to breed. The Exception, evidently being this little Gal, who has been spending this week by my Pond! Oh, and there is another one who usually spends his days in a Wren House on my front porch...but that, hopefully will be a Future Blip!
