Spying Currawong
Day 2 of starting my day with a yoga class! This one was lead by sister Angela who's been studying for the last two years to be a yoga instructor, and she did an exceptional job. Not surprising considering she's already taught over a hundred classes. It was a great way to start the day though as we just set up in the lounge room with the class consisting of siblings and partners, very relaxing.
A picnic lunch followed. We made some rolls to bring and then went down to the Maroondah reservoir park for a walk and our picnic. It was beautiful and it was so nice to be walking through a bit of nature with my family instead of being in the city. Sometimes you don't realise how much you miss getting out of the city until you do. We walked about four km's and then found a great spot for the picnic. While we were there I took a lot of photos, including todays blip in which you should spot the silhouette of a currawong. It was tough choosing a blip today as I got so many beautiful shots of the landscape as well as some great macro ones of a beetle the decided to join is for lunch. Oh well, the beetle will just have to stay in my now ever growing collection of photos.
We are all enjoying the trip away, and am already wishing we could stay longer. Tonight will consist of going to the White Rabbit Brewery then onto a restaurant nearby for some dinner, followed by board game night back at the barn. That's a recipe for a good night.
