Milky way - Cape Alava

We got an earlyish start and hiked up to Boulder Lake in the Olympics. It's a 12 mile round trip mostly through forest, but the lake at the end was worth it.

Then we got in the car and headed for Lake Ozette. We hiked three miles in to Cape Alava which is the most westerly point of the contiguous states of the USA. Our campsite was on the beach and the sunset was spectacular. We also got an amazing view of a meteor shower. I tried to catch one but only got the milky way.
