Day_04. The start

At last, the first day of trekking. A moderate hike to try and get us aclimatised to altitude. First a twisting descent into a ravine and then onto a moderate climb up to the first campsite. In the afternoon we went to visit the family of a local guide and had a spot of tea (the milky type). Since we hadn't seen a cow for quite some time I reckon we would have been drinking sheep's milk. Round here there's a lot of peas grown and it's currently harvest time so the locals are in the fields from early to late. In the villages you only see happy smiling faces.
