Sand Yachts, St Andrews

I think these vehicles are sand yachts or maybe beach yachts. Whatever they are called several youngsters were having a great time "sailing" on the West Sands at St Andrews- a slightly different take on "Chariots of Fire", this of course being the beach where the the film was shot.
After a stroll around the town, very much having a university atmosphere today with students about in good number, we drove home via Kellie Castle and a quick view of the "One Shot" photographic exhibition. Not quite what we expected but some stunning pictures nevertheless.
