" FROM A DISTANCE THE WORLD IS BLUE & GREEN"
Well what an amazing day. The sun came out to play - Halleluya. For the first time in ages we had no committments. We got up late, after 2 cups of coffee reading newspapers in bed. Had a leisurely egg with soldiers for breakfast (I'm still a child really), then went for a drive in 'the beast'. Don't know why I call my Boxster that really, only that you can never really let rip because either theirs too many other vehicles who want to drive slowly or it would be illegal round these narrow roads to drive at the speeds that are possible in this sporty car. However, we went out to Dunster via Exmoor National Park travelling along the straightest roads for miles and I had a bit of fun!!! Driving a car that loves bends and sticks like glue is great fun and I do appreciate being open top and listening to the roar of the exhaust.
However, i have digressed. The above photo is looking out from the road towards Wales. You can see the Bristol Channel very clearly and all of Wales with the wonderful clouds in the distance. I love the scenery around here and it is quite unique and stunning. It is completely different to Cornwall where the land is much flatter and more open. The landscape here is quite rugged with lots of natural stone.
We eventually arrived at Dunster through Timberscoombe, charming small village and even found a parking space where we wanted to be.
Dunster can get very busy with tourists but fortunately today it wasn't so bad. We went into the secret garden again at The Luttrell Arms and enjoyed a light lunch, then after talking to a few of the local traders, Mr A enjoyed driving home. Why is it that time passes so quickly when you're having a good time?
Pimms had to be consumed in the conservatory as it was too cold in the garden now that the sun had gone down.
Thank you all for yesterdays comments on my tractor ploughing. I'm sorry I couldn't tell you much about our musical evening. Needless to say I enjoyed it thoroughly not getting nervous like I used to. I managed to block out most of the audience and just focus on the words of the song. Had calls today from some of the crowd and it obviously was well received. We will perform again in 4 weeks time - November 8th and we are already in discussion as to which 2 songs out of the 100 + in our range.
I hope you have all thoroughly enjoyed today and that you have been blessed and bathed in sunshine and love. I hope those of you with problems get a peaceful nights sleep. And those in pain, find a solution!!? Until we 'meet' again. x
