" SAVE THE LAST DANCE FOR ME!! "

Oh how I love to feel the warmth of the sun and today was another bonus. It's when you get a 'summers day' in October, you know you're being blessed but round the corner, we'll pay for it. Autumn colours haven't arrived here yet but I know it will happen all of a sudden. Oodles of rain, wind and cold and before you know it the trees will be bare and the snow will be falling.

But we don't want to talk about that. As the weather was so beguiling, we worked on the front of the house. Mr A cleaned the windows so that they shone and I planted out two small conifers in large tall square planters either side of the front door. We moved all the summer pots containing geraniums, fuschias etc. to one side to rest over the winter period and generally smartoned up the front. After all if we are going to have to move next year, the front area is very important. Will buy a few more bulbs for the spring to give colour.

The above photo is one of the fuscias planted in the strawberry container in the back garden. They were planted 3 months ago but instead of flowering, they have been steadily growing huge, putting roots down, and now we are seeing them in full glory. The shape of this variety always makes me think of ballet dancers or late 50's full skirts, hence the title.

We had two Morning Glory flowers out as well today and generally the garden is still looking good although I never have to do anything to it. The secret is to plant through weed matting, overplant, so the weeds are swamped and dead head daily which keeps the flowers in bloom.

I have not wanted this weekend to end for it brings another Monday which I hate. Hoping you have all enjoyed a wonderful weekend spent in sunshine with loved ones. Until we 'meet' again, keep breathing, smiling and giving to others. If we all did that in life there would be no problems. Love one another..........!!!
