Major feat of engineering

"Just a bridge" one might be tempted to think, but this is actually quite a feat of engineering.
This attractive bridge crosses the main Nottingham ring road - six lanes of roadway in all. The bridge, which weighs in at over 1000 tons, was actually constructed within the adjacent Queens Medical Centre campus, Nottingham. It will eventually carry two new high-level tram lines across the Nottingham ring road, and splitting the hospital campus.
The bridge was constructed over 400 metres away from where it now stands. One week ago it was transported into position by four mobile jacks before being lowered precisely by them onto its four supporting columns.
