Slow worm

Found this slow worm in my compost heap as I started to dig out some compost for the veg patch. Put the cover back slowly and rushed to get my camera, and surprise, surprise s/he was still there. Managed to take a photo before s/he slithered away further under cover. I feel it's a real privilege to have something like that living happily in my garden.
