Remember the Wombles – cartoon characters that collected litter and kept the streets clean.
There was Great Uncle Bulgaria, Madame Cholet, Tomsk, Wellington, Orinoco, Bungo, and Tobermory. Apparently they are about to make a comeback on TV.
