Jumping waves

We polished off a bottle of celebratory champagne last night and awoke to find the storm gone, replaced by blue skies. Apparently there are trees down everywhere and 5000 homes without power, but the damage seems to have passed our street by.

After a morning of organising bits and pieces, I thought I'd take advantage of the sun and head to the beach. Between leaving the house and arriving at the beach, the clouds had rolled in again and the wind had whipped up, much to the delight of some kite surfers out on the water.

These seagulls were also enjoying things, jumping the waves as they rolled in.

Back home now, car back in the garage as the forecast is for things to get worse this afternoon. Perfect weather for sleeping - back on nights again tonight.
