Thank you letter

Oh, how I love a thank you letter!

This one is from D's parents to thank us for the party that we held for them at our flat on 8th September. It's lovely to be appreciated.

D is quite a lot younger than us - young enough to be our daughter - and I feel quite protective of her. From two periods when I lived abroad in the 1980s I know what it can be like to be miles away from home. Although D is perfectly capable of caring for herself, I think it's reassuring for her parents to know that we are here if ever D needs someone older and wiser to look after her.
