After dinner surprise!

We celebrated with the new homeowners this evening by having a mexican fiesta! It was a group effort and turned out so so good. In fact, it was so good, I couldn't even come close to eating my normal quantities of guacamole and Dad's home made chips. There was just too much good stuff to consume!

It was a nice day today - started out with me working early this morning and the kids were at Grammy and Papa's house. I enjoyed a quiet morning at home and then picked them up before lunch. When I got there, the kids were quite thrilled to tell me all of their adventures and then Tyler promptly beat me in a game of Horseshoe. He didn't just beat me. He really beat me! Then, he went on and beat Grammy too. Apparently, Grammy was throwing the horse shoe a little too short every time and Tyler informed her that if she drank her milk and ate her turkey, she'd get strong enough to throw the horseshoe a long ways!

My Dad also asked Mia if she was human today and she replied, "No, I'm a kid!"

After dinner tonight, as we were leaving with arms full of junk, we spotted this praying mantis on the banister. Of course, I had to drop all my "junk" and snap a picture! Chris is laughing pretty good here because he had just finished letting the thing crawl all over his face while the kids yelled, "Get it off of there! Get it off of there now!"
