Choices, Choices!

It's my husband's birthday today and knowing how much he likes rich fruit cake, I bought him this little iced birthday cake from M&S. However, he likes carrot cake too and was delighted when my friend baked him one for his birthday. He couldn't decide which to have tonight - so (very diplomatically) had a piece of both:-)

We decided to visit the cinema for our annual outing and saw "Sunshine on Leith", the new musical based on The Proclaimers songs. The film was very good. The songs - an acquired taste perhaps? Edinburgh was the star of the show, of course!

The present I ordered for him online did not arrive in time, so his birthday will be extended by a day or two, as there is an outing planned for when it arrives:-) Can't say more, in case he reads this!
