Away again

Another week, another plane, another place. This time the joys of Ryan Air to Barcelona. I didn't actually mind as it's only a short flight and means I can use the local airport rather than schlepping to Heathrow. Am getting tired of all this travel and am hoping for a few quieter weeks - at the moment I'm not scheduled to travel again until early November but I doubt that will stay the same.

But this trip is quite an enjoyable one - our annual team meeting of around 100 people from across UK, Holland, Belgium, Spain and Germany plus the boss who's based in Switzerland. And to make it even better, the fella and I are sharing a room so are fully out at work - this is something I hoped would happen but felt like it was miles away only a few short months ago (this is the point where I should add a link to a blip in later July bemoaning the fact we weren't) and it makes me happy. Though the fella has done well out of it as I got allocated one of the nicer rooms (privilege of being one of the team leaders) which he gets to share. And we all got lovely cookies on check in.

Feeling tired and run down thing and would much rather be at home. But the weather is good, the meeting should be fun and the company isn't bad so I can't moan too much. Was a bit antisocial tonight and had room service as had some work to do - will be better tomorrow as we have an awards dinner.
