GIGANTIC!!!

We went to the absolutely fantastic market at Bedarieux this morning (you are going to love it, M and T) and discovered an elderly monsieur whose stall was groaning with perfect peaches, his own delicious olive oil and some extraordinary tomatoes. Usually I find that giant veg are all size and no taste. He said, "Mais non, these tomatoes are very sweet." So we bought one. It weighs a kilo and a half and four slices barely made a dent. The wild mushrooms in the omelette were picked from under our fruit trees this morning and monsieur was right. The tomato couldn't have been juicier or tastier.
