Blue green chestnut

No real time for blipping today, but..

This was lunchtime, just before I toddled into town for a birthday present (no, not for me, sadly). We have some magnificent Spanish chestnuts on the green opposite (where the Council were trying to build, but are not, hooray!) and I wanted to catch them while the sky was blue and the leaves still green, before the frost gets them. Tomorrow is meant to be cold. "And", as the Radio 4 weatherman quipped this morning (hoho), "..it will stay cold for the rest of the winter".

So here are my chestnut trees before the leaves turn. I will probably go back to them for a blip when they do.. xx
