Thistle Down

One More Time

Knowing...what I know now,
I'd like to live again.
And gain some higher-heights,
Than what I now have been.

For it has taken many years,
To know myself.
So much...that I would like,
To set me off the shelf.

I missed so much in childhood,
Of which I hadn't ought.
And in my own secluded way,
So few of things...I caught.

To raise my children over,
And have the time to care.
I'd know what could be added,
To give them fullest share.

I think of all my blunders,
While yet I was in prime.
And to start before I married,
I'd try it one more time.
