Big Shadows, Small Lighthouse

An excellent birding day today, although it didn't start too promisingly. We headed for Forfar Loch where a Pectoral Sandpiper had been around for a couple of days, unfortunately we didn't find it. We then headed to Montrose where we walked out to Scurdie Ness Lighthouse and had a picnic while watching Terns & Dolphins. Check out RCB for a Sandwich Tern. Eventually we headed home, but driving South into the sun wasn't a lot of fun, so we pulled over in Arbroath for a little sea watching and were treated to an Arctic Skua chasing the Terns which was fun, although probably that's not the view of the Terns.
