Now I am not a dour person and I like Xmas and New Year the same as the next man but into only the second week of October and the first 2014 has been delivered. I mean what ever happened to the frantic Xmas build up that starts end November into early December that gets you into the spirit of something special that is not that far away.

Now I know that my dearest starts her Xmas shopping in the January sales but really is this not just a bit too early. I mean will Cadbury's Cream Eggs start appearing on the telly next week,
