.... worst case of mass poisoning in human history

I came across Earthdreamer's and Impact's blips earlier in the week, who was raising our awareness of the plight of people in Bangladesh. They had been helped in the past to access water via tube wells sunk by aid agencies in the 70s and 80s. Unfortunately no one at the time realised that the water was laced with arsenic and they are slowly being poisoned.

You can read more here. It struck me as being a tragic case of trying to help people but actually causing more harm. A desperate shame!
