A Bird is a bird!

Today we went to Hawk Ridge. It was all and more than we expected. Sat on large boulders overlooking the valley and Lake Superior. Hiked on a trail that was very rocky and steep in some points. What did we see? Numerous sharp-shinned hawks. Unfortunately, they are very quick and it is extremely hard to get a blip of them. We also found out that because of the warm temps and the southwesterly wind we would not see as many raptors. We weren't disappointed as the outing was quite enjoyable. The hike, the sighting of the hawks, and meeting so many like-minded people that enjoy being out in nature as much as we do went above our expectations. Well, I wanted a bird blip and here it is...a white-throated sparrow. Almost seems like he's posing for the camera.
