1st McDonald's in China

This was the first McDonald's to be opened in China. This is purely because Shenzhen was the first location in China to benefit from the status of being a Special Economic Zone (SEZ). It's located in Shenzhen's busy LuoHu district not too far from the Hong Kong border crossing.

To the menu in McDonald's has also been added meals including rice with sweetcorn and soups to reflect tastes of the local market. This is also to compete more with successful KFC restaurant chain which has a heavily modified menu in its Chinese outlets.
