Seaweed
11.8C with bright spells and a strong cold breeze.
Maeve the Deerhound and I had our walk after lunch. Walking up the country road we could see the demolition of one of the outbuildings at the old primary school was almost complete. It will be a different view up to the school as the building had a red corrugated iron roof and was very much a local landmark.
Down at the beach the tide was out. We turned left and wandered along the firm damp sand to the burn. Maeve didn't seem to want to paddle today so we just came back along to the Fishermen's huts. There was one man working on a small rowing boat, and the owner of 'Shamara II' was working around too. I don't know what he finds to do. Perhaps he just likes to potter.
The beach is thick with seaweed at the channel through the rocks so we came along by the cottages. I took this shot from the car park at Westhaven looking along the beach in the direction of Easthaven. 'Valhalla VI' is still on the sand, its trailer wheels all on lengths of old corrugated iron.
