Lunchtime culchur

Spent a mostly boring day working at home on exam papers for accountants, actuaries and bankers.

Before I completely lost the will to live, I popped next door to the Drill Hall to have a look at the Photographers' Collective exhibition.

Living in Leith has its definite disadvantages but it also has a lot of good things going for it, including a thriving arts scene (to complement its thriving drugs scene).

I think I'm just feeling kindly towards the place today, having eventually made it to the movie of the year (if you're from Leith) last night. I didn't want to enjoy it, but there was nothing I could do about it as it grabbed me by the throat and forced me to join in the singing. (The people sitting nearby might have been a bit pissed off).

Best scene: the party in Leith dockers' club. I was crying my eyes out, I was.
