A stroll amongst the Cacti
The weather for most of the day alternated between short periods of sunshine and heavy rain. I decided it was not the day for a walk in the forest or other such outdoor pass times. Instead I headed to the Winter Garden in Duthie Park.
The area where I usually park was full of huge trucks, not sure what was going on though. The trucks were parked very (very very) close to the glass houses. it must have been quite a manoeuvre getting them in.
As usual there were fine displays of flowers, however on this occasion I have eschewed the more attractive and obvious displays in favour of a floor level view of some of the cacti. These are the smaller cacti, others reach up as far as roof height, none of these exceeds about 15 centimetres.
In addition to the potential for heavy rain there was also a very strong wind in exposed areas.
