Octopussy

A walk on the wild side today. It was pretty wild, there was some sunshine but a cold wind. It made me feel I should have been more dressed for the cold and not lulled into a sense of well being by the sun.

This is part of the forest in the grounds of Crathes Castle Estate. There are many of these trees with partially exposed roots. I was lucky in the timing of this walk, earlier there had been heavy rain. After becoming reasonably cool I warmed up with a plate of soup at the cafeteria. Then once again the heavens opened. I think I managed to find the only hour or so when it did not rain for my walk in the woods.
