The other side of the sunset

I liked the light, clouds and birds as I left the office today. Then drove home looking at the most fabulous sunset, orange and pink galore but had to drive, drive, drive and couldnt take a photo of it.

It is Jay's birthday tomorrow and as is traditional he demanded all gifts today. I bought him a record player - we sat on the settee and watched him fiddling with lots of unfathomable things. Then we watched him go into the loft to find his records from 1988. He likes it really, I'm sure.

Although he has bought himself a woolly orange and yellow hat today. I would never have bought it for him, so maybe I should just give up now.
