'We are proud as a peacock'

IMPACT has just installed a borehole at this school in Kiritiri, Kenya. Here are some of the children testing it out with their Headmaster.

The well was much needed, as previously children had to walk long distances to collect water. Plentiful water on site means more time for schooling; and improved hygiene will result in fewer illnesses. We are also helping the school to establish a vegetable garden to augment the childrens' diets.

One of the older pupils wrote to say, 'We are proud as a peacock because of IMPACT East Africa. We promise we will take care of it.'
