Wood work

Thankfully the French strike didn't impact my flight and got home early evening to find the fella hard at work replacing the knackered old joists. He'd also cleaned all the rubble from the floor taking bags and bags of old bricks and wires and stuff to the tip. I love him anyway but his ability to do all this manly stuff has made me love him even more.

Had a huge temperature shock arriving back - winter seems to have truly arrived and was quite some contrast to sunny Barcelona. It didn't help that 3 of my radiators are now off for 6 weeks or so while the floor and decorating get done before being replaced by cast iron ones.

Just need to remember how good it will look when it's done.
