Lunch stop

We decided on Wednesday that as I have a couple of days off work that we should visit Manchester for the weekend. It has felt like the longest day ever today..... Packing our bags and an elderly neighbour knocked on the door, she had a punctured tyre on her mobility scooter and wondered if we could help Set off and needed to pick some things up from a couple of shops fifteen miles down the road Set off again with the intention of. Lunch and a walk at Rutland Water - pub had changed ownership and didn't fancy anything on the menu which resulted in a drive till we found this delightful place Set off again found parking space on the road so we could join the footpath around Rutland but decided it was far too cold and blustery to go far so headed back to the car Set off again, due to meet up with a friend of hubbies at 5pm, got stuck in major delays on M62, apparently big problems on M1. Made it on time and spent a couple of hours in Costa somewhere near Leeds Set off again and arrived at hotel at 7.40pm Looking forward to a good nights kip! Three things for the day... 1. Steak & onion sarnie & chips in the pub at lunchtime 2. Having time to myself to mooch around shops while hubbie caught up with his friend 3. New boots fitting so well!
