Light Patterns
The way my house is shaped, there is a rather dark corridor at the back of it. The gap between the wall and the fence is just wide enough to get a wheely bin through, and my next-door neighbour has a similar gap before the wall of his house.
I put in some ugly but functional bulkhead lights. However, after about ten years of sterling service, one of them has started letting in water, which is a Bad Thing. So I have disconnected them from the mains pending further investigation. But this gives a chance for my neighbour's lights to make this wonderful pattern on the ground when they are switched on... he has many more, smaller lights and when they shine through the gaps in the fence they make this pattern.
