Avon Railway Viaduct

This viaduct crosses the River Avon at Linlithgow Bridge. In spite of its aged appearance - it was built in 1842 - it still carries the main train line from Glasgow to Edinburgh. It is 442 yards long, is supported on twenty-three arches, and the railway bed is 92ft above the ground.

More immediately, it stands above the road that takes me to Homebase when I need new lightbulbs...

Photo was taken as the light was getting low, so ISO 1600. Even at that the train still shows movement blur. The photo was converted to HDR to add interest to what was otherwise a fairly flat-looking image.
