"Scabby Abby"

HMS Abdiel, known throughout the Fleet as the Scabby Abby. Rumoured to be crewed almost exclusively by ex DQ's ratings, (ex 'Glass House' men), she was built as a minelayer but never used in that role.
The reason she is the subject of today's 'Blip' one of the fastest growing industries in Britain today is ex-service associations and having briefly served on the Abdiel in the 90's I have been tracked down and invited to attend the reunion to be held in Edinburgh.
Of course I shall need the blazer badge, tie, pin badge, T shirt etc.
Not likely, I've probably spent thousands in the last ten years on reunions and badges, ties etc.
