" LIKE A ROSE, UNDER AN OCTOBER SKY "

Sorry about that - changed the words from April to October. Well I feel a bit brain dead at the end of a long week.

But it's Friday night when the rest of the world, well youngsters anyway, are out doing the town and getting drunk etc. The rest of us sensbile folk, are sitting at computers, trying to be imaginative.

The weather here has been very bright this morning so I nipped out and captured this very brave rose, reaching heavenwards before it becomes a victim of the very cold wind waiting to destroy it and send it's petals crashing to the ground. I have blipped this rose before as I just love it's many skirts.

Phoebe was braving the elements too, chasing crane flies as they emerge from the lawn. She likes to eat them!!!

So apart from popping out to the chemist for a prescription, I have stayed in and caught up with vacuum cleaning and ironing. I lead such an exciting life but at least I know that I have done all I can to eliminate debris before Adrian's visit tomorrow.

The weather is not looking good with rain forecast, but I'm hoping to take him out for a walk in the afternoon for a bit of fresh air!!
