Peel Castle
Day 3
Horrible mistly drizzly day so it was things off the wet weather activity list.
House of Mannannan then Peel Castle. There is evidence of occupation on the site from the bronze age but most of the standing stone dates from the times of the Kings of Mann. The last viking King of Man was Magnus III who died in 1265. Peel Castle is set on a rocky island at the mouth of Peel Harbour. Peel is noted for its Manx Kippers (smoked herring). Bought some to try and sent some home to my neighbour.
