Lights at the end of the Tunnel.
Been another busy day - no really! Bits and pieces of tidying up , the daughter's coming home for the weekend, my sister and her family will be visiting and a birthday to plan for the weekend.
Needless to say the whole thing required a trip into town. Yuk!
The bus on the way in was busy - no surprise there then. The last of the foreign students were on their way home and the oldies were all heading into Marks to get their weekend shopping. Dressed in the usual uniform of mushroom and taupe shoes and raincoat, this blue rinsed army bemoaned the fact that today's youth were undisciplined, lazy and had all been born with silver spoons in their mouths. I thought this was particularly funny as the few of us who were fee paying passengers were obviously supporting their ride into town. Also, they continued to chastise another "older" dear for doing her own hoovering and baking, it became clear that they thought that such labour was not for the likes of them. This wasn't laziness though. Not that I begrudge any of this, but I hate their hypocritical moralising.
Not as much as I hate the Marks and Spencer's Friday outing though. You can't get near anything without having to fight your way through the mushroom army. Still, I did it and I survived. So off to cook the tea - and I'm afraid you will have to make do with another spur of the moment blip. Nothing special - I just liked it.
Have a good weekend!
