Sitting, waiting on a train
Station looks different to how I remember it
Softer sounds of shuffling feet and platform announcements
Smell of diesel and cigarettes weighing heavily in the air

Sitting, waiting on a train
Seats same as they always were:
Seasoned wood layered with thick varnish
Pleasant relief for an old lady like me
I used to ride the trains in quite a different way
Now, I look at this ticket and remember ...
