Awoke this morning to a view even more stunning than yesterday, with the distant peaks of the Pyrenees glimmering in the sun, frosted with snow that fell overnight!

A chilly start to the day, but not a cloud in the sky, perfect weather for shopping in Carcssonne market, gathering provisions for the weekend. And then this afternoon a visit to Caunes-Minervois to visit the Benedictine Abbey founded in 780, and to wander the peaceful streets of the ancient village that grew up around the abbey.
