Let there be light

I have been working towards this day for months, it seems, as we hosted our homecoming cross country meet with a couple of hundred people involved. It has been a little stressful especially this past week but I am happy to report that it was a great success.
This morning we were out early marking the course which took us a little longer than planned as we kept getting totally sidetracked by scenes such as those above. Myself and two of the other coaches all had our cameras as we are keen photographers as well as runners. We would all stop in our tracks as we admired the beautiful sunrise, take a few photos and then move a few metres only to stop again as the scenes just seemed to be getting better and better. The photos that I took do not do the light that we saw justice as they were truly breath taking so we would all stand and stare trying to imprint the scene into our memories.
