Bronze Age Mine
Day 1 of my family trip to North Wales. The 3 of us (+ dog) decided to head to Wales for a few days to spend some quality time together. The first thing on the agenda was a visit to Chester which was on our way there. Visited the Cathedral and walked along the famous Roman wall before stopping off for a tea break at Starbucks.
Then onto this place, this Bronze Age Copper Mine which they discovered in the 80's I believe and the entire area was dug out by hand. The whole network stretches out something like 5km and goes down 9 levels. We only went down to level 2 but that felt deep enough! They put all these fancy lights in, made it look very pretty!
Next onto our cottage which was our home for the next few days. A cottage somewhere within the Snowdonian national park but that's basically in the middle of no where - a half hour drive from the nearest village. Definitely no signal here!
