CURIOUS

I'm curious about what is going on with the underside of this oak leaf. Anyone know? I didn't have time to examine properly, as we were in the Botanics with the VIP. Marvellous day of leaf kicking, tree climbing, making houses in holly trees, nearly being eaten by carnivorous plants, playing stick-in-the-mud and feeding squirrels.
