Grand Prix, Singapore

Breakfast early. Hard boiled egg and jam on toast. Not too exciting. Watched a guy with a big pot of peanut butter. We were very jealous. We booked our flight for tomorrow to go to Tagabilaran. Glad it's finally booked, haha. We took the MRT to the wrong place. When we got out we could see the skyscrapers in the distance. So we begged the lady to let us back in so we could go reverse our route backwards and get off near marina bays sands. Went into the huge/amazing shopping mall. We wandered around and got some sliced up fruit at a busy food court downstairs. We then took the MRT to Milena Walk to go and get our free popcorn and cookies again! We were eating our lunch in a sweet little restaurant some Grand Prix men came and sat with us... the white guy was joking that his Pakistan friend was a terrorist. Got a little weird... but luckily they left us . We could have been invited to a formula 1 house party! Would have been amazing but also creepy! Whilst walking through the mall we got our free popcorn (we actually bought some in the end) and then our free cookies. They didn't have the cookies out on display but we went over and pretended we were interested in buying some and they then asked if we wanted to try some! When we came out of the shopping mall we heard some very loud noises of the neeeeawwww of the formula 1 cars. So cool. They had a big fence up so we couldn't see them but just hear them. So we went up a lift and got a good view from on the windows. Watched them go around a couple of times whilst attempting to take pictures, quite hard with a camera as they are obviously so fast. We took the MRT back to Bugis (little India) and got changed into something nice for going out. We took a MRT back to marina bay sands. It was very buzzy everywhere because of the Grand Prix. We watched for a little from the bridge. It is crazy how loud it was, guessing the sound echoed off of all the buildings. We were hoping to watch the light display on Marina Bay sands water. We sort off missed it as we walked over to the other side so we got a glimpse from the distance. It looked pretty cool. They basically squirt water into the air in different shapes and with the lights they make it look real. Morag and I were trying to find the nightlife but we failed tonight. We sat outside of a Starbucks with a coffee to keep us awake. Coolest Starbucks I have been too because of the amazing view. We saw some cool formula 1 cars. Waited for a taxi for a long time. We drove past the nightlife... the taxi man told us that that is the best nightlife. We were so tired though so we headed back. When we got back we printed out our flight for tomorrow. One of the guys in the hostel asked us if we wanted to go out with him and said he had a bottle of red wine. Would have been funny but we refused as we were both dead. Off to bed. All the Asian men were snoring, grrrrr!
