conker threading
I saw a lovely idea on Red Ted Art's blog this morning so when we'd eventually managed to get the boys dressed (it's been a very slow day, another TV day, while Bean recovers his energy from his turn of having the tummy bug that Bear had) we went down to the village to get some chenille stems and other bits. Always end up getting "other bits" when we go to the shops. Then, after many many many more episodes of various tv shows I persuaded Bear to come and make some conker caterpillars, and Bean even came and made one. They are beneath him at the moment so he made his after I'd said he could watch more TV after he'd done some threading.
Bean's been much better today, no more throwing up, went crazy in the bath earlier (he needed a bath - he was sick in his sleep last night, and it didn't even wake him up :/ so he needed cleaning up quite badly this morning when he attempted to climb into bed with us...). He's eaten a fair bit, possibly too much so he's gone to sleep on a towel again just in case. But although he's been tired he's been in better spirits. Bear has just been his usual slightly bonkers self, thankfully!
Mum went out foraging (I think she's caught the foraging bug big time!) in the afternoon and a little after 5pm I thought I ought to do something about dinner as there was no sign of mum. By 6pm there was still no sign of mum so the prep for dinner progressed to the making of dinner. We were actually eating by 8pm though so I didn't do too badly, plus I'd made peanut butter cookies as well!! Steve says I did very well as "Chef" this evening, co-ordinating all the cooks in the kitchen so they didn't all get in each others' way :)
Time to try and get some more of Bean's scarf done now I can sit in peace!
