Long time no see, Epilepsy.

It came back with a vengeance.

My beautiful boy tonight had a 13 minute seizure. The initial tonic part of the seizure where he goes completely rigid and falls lasted for 3 minutes, he was in the shower and my hubby Andre caught him but having to step in the shower to grab him lost his grip and Kanye fell on the shower floor, he hit his head. We got him out into recovery position, covered him with a towel and waited.

Once the tonic rigid part was over the clonic part began and lasted for 10 minutes, after 5 minutes we decided to give him midazolam, a medication we've been given by the neurologist to administer to break long seizures. He finally came out of it and fell asleep.

It's been 3 weeks which is a good run for him with no seizures. He'll be home tomorrow so I'm glad I got a new wiggles dvd for him. He loves the wiggles they always bring a smile to his face.
