Hello osteo!

Harper my gorgeous little almost 8 week old poppet has really bad reflux.

We have tried everything to help him - raising his bed, holding him upright after feeds, drinking peppermint tea, cutting dairy products out of my diet-even medication.

My son's teacher said yesterday that she took her daughter to an osteopath and it helped her.

Marley had reflux as a baby too luckily medication worked for him and he grews out of it by 3 months.

So I found an osteopath close to me and we booked in. It's hard to explain how osteopathy works but basically they realign the body and release tension within the tissue, it also has something to do with the central nervous system. ( he did explain it to me but I can't remember)

So we got there and after a wee discussion he started working on Harper, and he did not like it he cried and screamed, after working on his neck and head the osteo moved to his abdomen and pelvis, after a minute the osteo found the tension and all of a sudden Harper stopped crying and screaming, he started giving me huge smiles and cooing.

The osteopath said Harper had a lot of tension in his lower back and diaphragm, he wanted to see him again in a week.

What a difference! His reflux is better he isn't constantly spilling and getting upset, after a feed he's very content not squirming around getting grizzly. He had some tummy time and didn't spill, he enjoyed it and lifted his head higher than he ever has.

The osteopath said how well it works differs from baby to baby so I'm pleased I've noticed a difference as it was my last natural option before heading back to my doctor to put him on a medication that will set the milk in his tum like concrete.

Well worth the money!
