Autumn colours

This is what our garden looks like at the moment - full of fallen conkers and split conker cases everywhere. We have four huge Horse Chestnut trees along the border of our garden and every autumn it become quite messy. The colours are lovely at the moment, and there is something about this season where the colours of everything associated with it seem to tone together, from the fallen leaves to conkers, to pumpkins for Halloween and butternut soup - all the things I associate with autumn!

Poor Luke - as a result of that heavy tackle in Saturday's rugby match, he has torn his rotator cuff quite badly. He starts physio today and we will know just how bad it is after his first session, but it certainly looks like no sport for 3-4 weeks. He is gutted as he loves his rugby!
